A day of rest
Left early, keen to get the driving out of the way and explore my next stop, Todmorden. Really shouldn't have bothered; I was expecting somewhere like Castleton, but found little to keep me entertained there! Hebden Bridge, further down the road, was more picturesque and a better place to stop. Thankfully, my hostel was a few miles out, in Mankinholes, nestled below the Pennine Way and with a pub just a 5 minute walk away. Relaxing for the rest of the day, my new boots caused a bit of a sore ankle that surfaced in the last hour of my walk yesterday. I'm hoping it doesn't develop into something more serious!
