#46 - Too long away!

I haven't had a real inkling to get out walking since the abortive attempt of the Two Moors Way, at the end of August, but last weekend I was up for it! I chose to celebrate my birthday by taking a trip up to the Peak District with Paul and Lynn. We spent Saturday climbing up from Edale to Kinder Scout via Grindsbrook Clough, on what turned out to be the "first real day of summer". What a perfect one it was, and it rekindled my urge for walking in remote areas.

Much as I appreciate The Chilterns, a half hour from where I live, it doesn't excite me in the way places like the Peak District or Dartmoor manage to.

Revitalised, I'm heading down to Dartmoor this Friday for my Walking Group Leader Training, and bloody looking forward to it!
