Too short to include in the log book, but worthy of a mention anyway. Good weather, if a little breezy on the tops, but the views were Dartmoor at her best. It was to be a short walk up to Widgery Cross, the prominent marker on the top of Bray Tor, easily seen from the A386. It turned out to be an opportunity to linger around for a few hours, photographing the monument and its surroundings, including the wonderful Doe Tor Brook and the River Lyd.
To top it all off, a view of the moon rising above Arms Tor, at 3.30 in the afternoon!
