#78 - Peak District - The Last Walk

Thanks to Will of Will4adventure I got up to the Peaks this weekend to get in a final chance at leading before I go for assessment in a couple of weeks.

A "breezy" weekend, with gales of up to 50mph buffeting my £45 tent, that held its ground despite the bizarre shapes it was getting into.

The walk took all 21 of us along White Edge and down into Baslow, where I came up against the age old problem of navigating through a town, and subsequently put an extra kilometre on the days route - give me the open moor any day!

The return journey along the River Derwent was less blustery, but nonetheless had its moments when choosing the right path out of Grindleford to make the short climb back up the edge to the car park.
