Ben Nevis Challenge 2003

Ben Nevis Challenge

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Great Britain at 1,344 metres (4,406 ft) above sea level.

The challenge was to climb in aid of Epilepsy Action.

Pictures of the event can be seen here.

31st May 2003

Paul successfully climbs Ben Nevis!

The legs were certainly tired, and the knees suffered on the way down, but I managed to complete the task.

Seen off from Glen Nevis with the shrill of a bag piper, rather than add to the occasion, it seemingly spurred us on to get as far from it as possible! The return journey took about 7 hours. Visibility wasn't brilliant at the top, but below, the scenery was spectacular.

Thanks to all who have sponsored us.
